LOVE 

We begin with love because God is love. We practice love by loving God, loving ourselves, and loving our neighbors.

What this looks like in our life together:

  • We create worship experiences that help us encounter God’s love through scripture, sacrament, prayer, proclamation, and music.
  • We learn to see ourselves as God’s beloved – worthy, valued, and called – so we can extend that love to others.
  • We cultivate a community where people are known by name, welcomed as they are, and affirmed as a child of God.
  • We model Christlike love in the way we listen, speak, walk with, and support one another.
  • We extend love through everyday acts of kindness, hospitality, and service.

Our aim: To be a church where love shapes our identity, guides our choices, and grounds all we do.

GROW TOGETHER

Faith grows best in community. We deepen our discipleship as we learn, share, and live life together.

What this looks like in our life together:

  • We invite everyone into a circle of belonging – small groups, Bible studies, shared meals, special events/programs, and deepening friendships.
  • We study Scripture together, asking honest questions and engaging in learning that is accessible for beginners and meaningful for longtime believers.
  • We support one another in the joys and hardships of life – celebrating, grieving, and walking side by side.
  • We foster intergenerational relationships where wisdom is shared and where every voice and life experience is valued.
  • We share in spiritual practices together – prayer, gratitude, generosity, service, and sabbath. 
  • We develop servant leaders who guide others with grace and a Spirit-led heart.

To be a church where people grow in Christ because they’re growing with others – becoming not just believers, but disciples.

SERVE OUR NEIGHBORS

Service puts love into action. We serve because Jesus served, joining in Christ’s mission by serving our community – locally, regionally, and globally –  for the transformation of the world.

What this looks like in our life together:

  • We encourage and provide opportunities for everyone to use their unique gifts in service to others.
  • We serve with compassion, offering support, comfort, presence, and care.
  • We listen with humility, seeking to understand and respond to genuine needs.
  • We teach and practice justice, seeking the well-being and dignity of all people.
  • We collaborate with local partners to increase our capacity to meet needs.
  • We support regional and global mission efforts that broaden our view of God’s world and connect us to the worldwide church.
