St. John’s Youth Ministry is committed to providing a strong Christian environment for learning, growth and fellowship. We have numerous ways for youth to get connected at St John’s, including an annual Youth Sunday where youth lead worship. Youth are also involved in missions.
United Methodist Youth
St. John’s United Methodist Youth (UMY) is an active youth group for sixth through twelfth graders with many activities throughout the year. Youth are able to dive deeper into our faith through mission trips and weekly activities in which we learn more about God and are in fellowship with each other.
UMY meets Sunday evenings at 4 – 6 p.m. on Zoom during COVID-19. Meetings vary from week to week but include fellowship, games and a lesson. Our lessons might include hands-on activities, a movie clip, media or diving into Scripture. Our goal is to strengthen friendships and our relationship with Christ and HAVE FUN! Email Youth Director Haleigh Schwartz for the Zoom information to join us.
Youth Sunday School
Typically youth, grades sixth through twelfth, meet for Sunday school after coffee time. During COVID-19 and due to Zoom fatigue, youth meet once each Sunday for a UMY Zoom at 4 p.m.
